This is the steaming rig I built. I followed the advice found in the steambending faq and came up with this...It's 21 feet long, made from 2+ pieces of metal drainpipe, feed with steam by 2 pipes coming off of the turkey cooker. One piece at a time for 75 minutes turned out some very limp mahogany chines/sheers. Wrapping them around the form was very easy! My first scarf joint. It's located in the floor and rests just under the centerboard trunk. I came out looking great and very strong. Why was I worried?
